Tonight's Story
Have you ever whispered something so quietly that nobody could hear you? Maybe a wish. Maybe a worry. Maybe a prayer under your breath before a test or when you felt scared at night. Well, here is something amazing — Allah heard every single word.
The Quran tells us: "And your Lord says: Call upon Me, and I will answer you." That's a promise — straight from Allah. He didn't say "call upon Me if you're old enough" or "if you're important enough." He said: call upon Me. That means you. Right now. Exactly as you are.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us that there are special moments when dua is even more likely to be accepted — right before iftar, in the last third of the night, on Friday, and during Ramadan. Right now, you are IN one of those special times!
You don't need fancy words. You don't need to make dua in Arabic. You can talk to Allah in whatever language your heart speaks. "Ya Allah, help my grandma feel better." "Ya Allah, help me be a better friend." "Ya Allah, thank You for my family." He hears it all.
Sometimes Allah answers your dua right away. Sometimes He answers it later, in a way you didn't expect. And sometimes He gives you something even better than what you asked for. The Prophet ﷺ said: "No dua is ever wasted."
So tonight, before you sleep, raise your hands and talk to Allah. Tell Him what's in your heart. Thank Him for Ramadan. Ask Him for what you need. He's listening — not because you're loud, but because He loves you. And He always will.
Dua of the Night: The Prophet's Ramadan Dua
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni
"O Allah, You are the One who pardons greatly, and You love to pardon, so pardon me"
This is one of the most beautiful duas for Ramadan. The Prophet ﷺ taught it to his wife Aisha for the blessed nights. It's short, powerful, and perfect for you to memorise this Ramadan.
